Gone Country

Gone Country at Silverstone ft DJ Rattlesnake Johnny

Howdy partner! Usually situated at one of our favourite London club locations such as The Star in Shoreditch, Gone Country decided to load up the saddle and head north to Silverstone.

Although we left London, we didn’t leave any of our country spirit or deep south attitude behind. Instead, we were fixin’ to bring the best of our rodeo lifestyle to the crowds. The 2025 British Grand Prix was the biggest of all and hosted a half million guests this year at Silverstone. This event is one of the most important and exciting on the F1 calendar, and people come from all over the world to see it. As one of the biggest sports events in England, viewers get to see some of the fastest car drivers compete on a track iconic for its high speed turns and competitive overtakes.

The atmosphere was thrilling and electric, and we got to be a part of it. Gone Country was at the race with country DJ Rattlesnake Johnny for an epic 4th of July celebration. The best of country was brought right to the racecourse! It felt like being right on the front porch down in the heart of Texas with all the vibin’ tunes playing. We took over the Made At Vale stage, with Mama Yee Haw leading large crowds through the two-step and line dances while country hits and honky tonk tracks were played. The audience was surprised with mixes of some of their favourite country artists such as Luke Combs and Fleetwood Mac.

What was once a car race venue quickly became a wild beatin’ barnyard. Before long, hundreds of people were moving together boots shuffling, hats bobbing, and hands clapping in time to the beat. With the sound of cars racing and crowds cheering, we turned Silverstone into a country concert with the vibes of the heart of Texas! DJ Rattlesnake Johnny engaged the crowd by tossing cowboy hats and inflatables out to eager people. We belted our best “yee haws!” and danced in our boots ‘til the show was over. The F1 goers went for the race, but left with some country spirit! The rest of the summer is looking bright for Gone Country, with many more hoedowns in store.
